- Manhattanville joined the Atlantic East Conference ahead of the 2022 season to usher in a new era of Valiant field hockey. Led by new head coach Katie Nichol (née Reynolds), Manhattanville made the Atlantic East Championship Tournament in the first season in its new home and went on to make additional postseason berths in 2024 and 2025.

- 2019 was one of the most successful seasons in program history. In their first season as members of the NECC, the Valiants won a program-record 17 games and were unbeaten in conference play (7-0). Manhattanville ended the season on a record 13-game winning streak, finishing with the 1-0 win in the NECC title game to earn just the second conference title in program history. Senior Robin Boot was just the second player to earn All-America honors from the NFHCA in program history, adding that to her NFCHA All-Region and NECC Player of the Year accolades. All-time wins leader head coach Kevin Kelly also notched his 100th career victory as six of his players earned NECC all-conference honors. Boot was joined on the NFHCA all-region team by fellow senior Ameerah Thomas.

- The field hockey team was the first Manhattanville team to win a MAC Freedom championship of any type, capturing the conference regular-season title in 2003 with a perfect 6-0 Freedom record.

- The Valiants also were the first Manhattanville squad to win a MAC Freedom Tournament title, as the team won the tournament postseason title as the third seed in 2005 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.

- Manhattanville received the first national ranking in program history on September 14, 2004, when the Valiants ranked a program-high 14th in the STX/NFHCA Div. III national poll. The squad returned to the poll for nearly a full month later in the year, earning a national ranking in four straight weeks from October 12 until November 2. That team set a new program record with 15 wins in 21 matches.

- Amanda DeChent '14 was named the first All-American in program history in 2012 with a spot on the IWLCA All-America first-team, following a record-setting season in which she scored 30 goals with 13 assists for 73 points. In addition to All-Region first-team and MAC Freedom Player of the Year honors, she broke the school and conference record for goals and points in a season and became Manhattanville's all-time leading scorer in just two seasons with the team.

- DeChent earned a second straight All-America selection in 2013, becoming only the fifth player in Manhattanville history to earn multiple All-America selections. In addition to a second straight MAC Freedom Player of the Year award, she finished the year as the Division III statistical leader in goals and points per game with 3.84 points per game and 1.58 goals per game in 19 games.

- The Valiants were one of the best teams in the MAC Freedom midway through the 2000s, registering four straight winning seasons between 2002-05, posting an overall record of 53-31 (.631) and reaching one NCAA Tournament and one ECAC Mid-Atlantic Tournament.
