- Created before the 1999-00 season, the Manhattanville men’s golf team has been one of the most successful Valiant programs since its inception, ranking second among all Valiant teams with 11 conference tournament championships.
- From 2015-16 to 2018-19, Manhattanville captured four straight MAC Freedom titles, as well as four consecutive Coach of the Year honors for
Arlen Marshall. Additionally,
Chandler Longfellow ('18) became the first MAC Freedom Golfer since 2007-08 to earn back-to-back Player of the Year honors, winning in 2017 and 2018.
- Manhattanville captured three straight MAC Freedom Championships from 2010-12, winning the titles by a combined 123 strokes to advance to the first three NCAA Div. III Championships in program history. In 2012, the Valiants earned the title by an incredible 55 strokes to complete the three-peat. The Valiants captured their fourth MAC Freedom title and subsequent NCAA Championships berth in 2015-16.
- The Valiants had a record-setting season in 2011-12, earning the first national ranking in program history with a #25 spot in the final GCAA
Golf World/Nike Div. III Coaches Poll of the fall semester after winning back-to-back titles for the first time ever at the Hamilton Fall Invitational and the Manhattanville/NYU Fall Classic. The team won a program-record three invitationals overall during the season and also set new team single-round and two-day records at the Trinity (Conn.) Invitational with a Saturday 294 and a two-day score of 600.
- Following the 2011-12 season, Manhattanville was named the GCAA Division III Academic National Champions, finishing with the highest cumulative GPA of any Division III squad. The Valiants also were one of only nine teams to earn GCAA All-Academic honors while also reaching the NCAA Div. III Championships.
- The 2011-12 team also set a new team single-season scoring record, the third straight year in which that record fell after standing since 2002-03.
- The Valiants were a force in the Skyline Conference almost from the very beginning, winning the first four Skyline Conference Tournaments consecutively between 2001-04. As a result, the team received four consecutive Skyline Conference Player of the Year awards –
John Greenwood (2004),
Martin Maguire (2003),
Nikhil Kumar (2002) and
Michael Avezanno (2001).
- 11 Valiants have been named to All-Region teams in program history, while seven Valiants –
Jason Zubatkin (twice),
Mike Cresci (twice),
Lem Randall,
George Tischler and
Gonzalo Sanchez – have been named Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars.
