- In 2022, the Valiants earned their first-ever NCAA Tournament berth after winning the Skyline Conference Championship. Manhattanville went 13-6 across the 2021-22 campaign, going a perfect 7-0 against the Skyline in the spring season. Leading the charge was Head Coach
Alex Sandri, who earned Skyline Co-Coach of the Year recognition in his first year helming the team.
James Hourihan and
Ryan Rosenberg would go on to be All-Conference First Team selections, while
Weston Goodwin repped the Valiants on the Second Team.
- The Manhattanville men's tennis team returned to the courts as a varsity program in 2018-19. The team posted a 6-1 record in the one and only season in the MAC Freedom, earned the No. 2 overall seed in the MAC Freedom Tournament and finished the season as the conference runner-up following a 5-1 win over DeSales in the semifinal and a loss to No. 1 Wilkes in the final.
- 2018-19 saw the Valiants secure three First Team and one Second Team All-MAC Freedom selections, as well as MAC Freedom Coach of the Year (
Derek DiFazio) and MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year (
Jan Senkerik).
- While the Manhattanville men's tennis program underwent a resurgence at the end of the last decade, the gold standard for Valiant tennis excellence remains the 2000 squad that went a perfect 14-0 and ceded just 16 individual matches the entire season.
Sean Bowen,
Walter Brown and
J.P. Elhage led that Valiant team to perfection, as all three players did not a match in either singles or doubles dual-match competition all season.
- Michael Capozzi was named the first CoSIDA Academic All-American in team history and the first at Manhattanville in 27 years as a junior, and became the first Valiant to earn multiple Academic All-America selections with another honor as a senior.
- Capozzi earned his third consecutive Freedom Conference Player of the Year award as a senior in 2011-12, making him the second Manhattanville player ever to collect three straight conference Player of the Year honors.
- Thanks in large part to Capozzi, Manhattanville produced six conference Players of the Year between 2002-12:
Ivan DeWindt (2002, 2003) earned the honor from the Skyline Conference in back-to-back years, while
Julian Oribe was named in 2009 before Capozzi's three straight from the Freedom Conference.
- The Valiant tennis team won its first conference championship during the 2003 season, when the team swept all six Skyline Conference contests to earn the regular-season crown.
- The 2008-09 Valiants had one of the best years in school history, setting a new program record with 16 wins and also tying the program standard with 14 consecutive victories on the way to the Freedom Conference regular-season championship.
- The Valiant record books were completely rewritten in the last four years of the program before it was put on hiatus in 2012, as all of the top-10 single-season singles and doubles wins marks came between 2008-12.
