- Reinstated in 2007 following a 23-year absence, the Valiant men’s cross country program continues to build a new tradition of success in its second go-around as a varsity sport.

- For the first time in program history, Manhattanville cross country had an individual conference champion. In 2019, junior Papa Diop took home the individual Skyline Conference championship, slogging through the mud and rain to best all of the other 114 competitors.

- Junior Austin McGlone burst onto the scene and reset the Valiant cross country record books in 2014, shattering the school's 5K and 8K records and also earning the program's first All-MAC recognition by finishing 12th at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships. His time of 25:27:00 at the Bard Invitational broke the program's 31-year-old 8K record set in 1983, while he also took down the school's 5K record in his first race as a Valiant at the Stockton Alumni & Friends Invitational.

- Manhattanville has scored at the NCAA Atlantic Regionals three times (2010-12) and, combined with the program's academic success, the Valiants also have earned USTFCCCA All-Academic team honors in two of those three seasons as well.

- The Valiant cross country team hosted the first home meet in 26 years on September 18, 2010 with the Valiant men finishing first out of three teams at the Valiant Invitational.
