- The Manhattanville women’s indoor and outdoor track & field teams are two of the newest teams at the school, having been introduced at the varsity level prior to the start of the 2008-09 school year.

Emelda Ogweta became the first Valiant to take first place in an intercollegiate track event, winning both the 55-meter dash and the 200-meter dash at the program’s inaugural event, the Wesleyan Indoor Invitational on December 6, 2008. Ogweta was Manhattanville's first All-Middle Atlantic Conference first-team honoree and also was the program's first-ever qualifier for the ECAC Indoor Championships during the 2008-09 season, qualifying for the 55-meter hurdles.

Alexis Lanzillotti became the program’s first-ever ECAC Outdoor Championships qualifier during the 2011-12 season, reaching the standard in the 400-meter dash. After breaking seven program records in her first year, the freshman was named Manhattanville’s Female Rookie of the Year.
- Shannon Roberts became the program's first Middle Atlantic Conference champion in 2015, winning the 200-meter dash at the MAC Outdoor Championships with a program-record time of 25.25 seconds. She then swept the 200 meters during the 2015-16 season, capturing the indoor title with a new championship-record time of 25.43 seconds and then winning a second straight MAC Outdoor title.
- Roberts also became Manhattanville's first-ever qualifier for the NCAA Div. III Indoor Track and Field Championships thanks to her MAC record-setting performance as a senior, as she entered the national meet ranked 13th in the country in the 200 meters.
- The Valiant outdoor track team had a record-setting weekend at the 2015 MAC Outdoor Championships, finishing sixth with 56 points - a total that eclipsed the program's combined total from its first six MAC Outdoor Championships. Led by Roberts' four honors, the Valiants' seven-person team combined for 15 All-MAC honors and broke 11 school records a combined 16 teams during the outdoor campaign.
