- Reinstated in 2007 following a 23-year absence, the Valiant women’s cross country program continues to build a new tradition of success in its second go-around as a varsity sport.
- The Manhattanville women scored at the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Championships for the first time in 2011 and, combined with its success in the classroom, was named a USTFCCCA All-Academic team for the first time as well.
- In 2007,
Julie Hinchey became the first Valiant runner in school history to represent Manhattanville at the NCAA Div. III Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championships, finishing 39th out of more than 250 runners and narrowly missing All-Region honors. Previously, Hinchey had become the first Valiant to earn All-Middle Atlantic Conference honors by earning a spot on the second team.
- On October 5, 2008, the Valiant women’s cross country team recorded the first meet victory in program history by placing first among eight teams at the Brooklyn Invitational.
- The Valiant cross country teams hosted the first home meet in 26 years on September 18, 2010, with the Valiant women finishing first out of three teams at the Valiant Invitational.
