David Turco completed his ninth season as the head women's hockey coach at Manhattanville and 11th season overall with the program in 2019-20. He also served as the first-ever head women's golf coach at Manhattanville from 2012-19.

2019-20 saw the UCHC expand its membership and split into north and south divisions. With the realignment, Turco guided his program to much success. The Valiants picked up 13 conference victories en route to the south division championship and No. 2 overall seed in the UCHC tournament. Turco was named UCHC Coach of the Year, had five players earn all-conference accolades and was selected as a Division III CCM/AHCA Coach of the Year finalist. Additionally, he became the program's all-time leader in wins.

In 2018-19, Turco became just the second coach in program history to reach the 100 win mark. As a team, the Valiants claimed the MAC Regular-Season Championship and advanced all the way to the UCHC Tournament semifinal round, as Turco was named MAC Coach of the Year. He guided his players to a total of 10 All-Conference honors as well. Captain Nicole Mensi ('19) earned First Team recognition from both the MAC and UCHC, as did Zoey Pellowitz ('20) -- the latter was also selected as the MAC Defensive Player of the Year. Amanda Sabia ('20) was named MAC co-Offensive Player of the Year as well as to the First Team, while also earning Honorable Mention All-UCHC accolades. In all, three players were recognized by the UCHC, while seven garnered All-MAC honors.

Under Turco's guidance, Manhattanville re-emerged as a threat in the NEHC in 2016-17, boasting a 17-9-2 overall record and grabbing the second seed in the NEHC Tournament with a 10-4 conference mark. Manhattanville reached the championship game for the first time since 2012 after an excellent regular season, and three Valiants earned All-Conference recognition after the season. Two of those All-NEHC picks and the team's top-eight scorers are slated to return next season, as the Valiants look to keep improving with a move to the UCHC.

Turco guided the team to an 18-9-1 record under his second season at the helm of the team in 2012-13. The team earned its third straight berth in the ECAC East Conference Championship game, and second in a row under Turco. At the conclusion of the season, goalkeeper Mary Evans ('14) was named Conference Goalkeeper of the Year as well as an first-team All-Conference selection to lead three All-ECAC East honorees overall.

Despite assuming control of the program just a week before the start of the preseason, Turco still guided the Valiants to a 15-9-4 record in his first season as a collegiate head coach in 2011-12 and a berth in the ECAC East Conference Tournament championship game. Following the season, Katie Little ('13) and Emy Cote ('13) were named to the All-ECAC East Conference second team.

Before taking over the reins of the program, Turco had previously served two years as an assistant coach with the Valiants. In his first season with Manhattanville in 2009-10, Turco helped lead the Valiants to their sixth ECAC East regular-season championship and the program’s ninth straight top seed in the ECAC East Tournament. In 2010-11, Turco was on the bench as the Valiants won the eighth ECAC East Conference Tournament title in program history as the second seed.

A 2009 graduate of American International College, Turco played four seasons with the Yellow Jackets. In four collegiate seasons, he played in 112 career games with 11 goals and 27 assists for 38 career points, including a career-high four goals and 12 assists in his junior season of 2007-08.

Prior to his collegiate career, Turco was named the Most Valuable Player of the MWJHL in 2004-05 playing for the Cambridge Winterhawks where he led the league in scoring with 41 goals and 48 assists in 46 games.
