The Armory

Manhattanville’s close proximity to New York City allows the Valiants to utilize the Fort Washington Armory, commonly referred to simply as “The Armory”, as their practice facility during the indoor season and into the outdoor season as well.

Widely regarded as one of the premier indoor track and field centers in America and one of the fastest tracks in the world, the Armory is home to the world-class New Balance Track and Field Center and includes a six-lane banked track, two runways and sand pits, a pole vault pit and a throwing case. The Valiant track teams make the 30-minute trip into the city multiple times each week in order to practice and train at one of the world’s most famous track facilities throughout the school year, giving the student-athletes a fun and unique opportunity.

The Armory plays host to numerous meets at the collegiate and professional level each year, and also serves as the home track of many Division I programs in the area. The facility houses the National Track and Field Hall of Fame, which has had its permanent home at the Armory since 2002, as well.
