Nestled in the northernmost corner of Manhattanville’s suburban campus just before Anderson Hill Road, newly renovated Manhattanville Field is the exclusive home of the Valiant softball program.
Following the 2009 season, Manhattanville Field received a complete renovation that has turned the facility into one of the best softball fields in the area. As a result, the Valiants and their opponents now enjoy fully enclosed and covered dugouts as well as a permanent outfield fence that measures 200 feet all the way around.
Both the infield and outfield surfaces were re-leveled as well to provide surer hops and a better playing experience. Also as part of the renovation, there is now more room for spectators to sit and enjoy the Valiant softball team along the baselines as well as on bleachers throughout the outfield.
One of the most intimidating places in the region for a visiting team to play at, the softball team has enjoyed a tremendous home-field advantage at Manhattanville Field in recent seasons. The Valiants have also been one of the school’s most successful programs in the postseason at home, having posted a 10-3 mark in conference tournaments and winning three conference tournament championships on the home field.
