PURCHASE, N.Y. –
Four different Skidmore players found the back of the net and Manhattanville was limited to just two shots on goal as the Thoroughbreds dealt the Valiants a 4-0 defeat in a non-conference women's soccer matchup on Saturday afternoon at a chilly GoValiants.com Field.

Michelle Finan, Elena Stansky and Kelsey Yam all netted their second goals of the season for the visitors, while Abby Benton chipped in with her first goal of the year as well. The eventual game-winning score came from Finan, as she took a through ball from Maggie Abernethy and beat Valiant freshman keeper Bridget Miranda (Binghamton, N.Y./Seton Catholic Central) for the score.

Miranda made nine saves for Manhattanville in a losing effort, while Gab Lawrence turned aside both shots she faced to earn her first win and shutout of the year for the Thoroughbreds.

Manhattanville (0-7-0) will continue non-conference play on Tuesday afternoon, as the Valiants travel to Drew for a 4 p.m. contest against the Rangers. Skidmore (5-1-0) hosts Union on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.
