DALLAS, PA – It was a tough day for the Manhattanville College Women's Soccer team as the Valiants fell to #13 Misericordia, 5-0, in MAC Freedom play on Saturday afternoon.
The Cougar offense exploded for five goals on 36 shots with 16 shots on net for Misericordia (12-2-1, 4-0 MAC Freedom). Sophomore Jacqueline Stevens led the Cougars with two goals while freshman Ashley Edgell added a goal and an assist for nationally-ranked Misericordia.
Manhattanville (4-9, 0-4 MAC Freedom) could only muster three shots and one shot on goal in the game. Senior 
Christie DeMarco (Valley Stream, N.Y./Valley Stream South) accounted for two of Manhattanville's three shots including the lone shot on goal and fellow classmate 
Dani Sullivan (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) had one shot for the Valiants.
Junior goalkeeper 
Dolores Diemicke (North Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge) recorded a season-high 11 saves in the loss.
The Valiants will once again look for their first conference win of the season when Manhattanville welcomes FDU-Florham to GoValiants.com Field on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
