Manhattanville put the first runs on the board in the second inning of game two, starting with an RBI single from Euvino to score Guerra. Another double steal gave the Valiants a 2-0 lead as Euvino made his way to second base while McGrath came across home plate. With a 2-0 lead headed into the third inning, the Colonels found an answer, notching the game up at two on RBI singles from Pisanchyn and Matthew Reese. The Valiants got back to work offensively in the fourth, scoring three runs to take a 5-2 lead. After taking advantage of miscues from the Colonels, Nunez gave Manhattanville back the lead on an RBI single through the left side, making it 3-2. Wilkes starting pitcher Patrick Condo eventually exited and was replaced by Jeff Roedell who had some trouble with his control. The Valiants were able to draw two cosecutive walks with the bases loaded from senior
Nate Trashansky (Babylon, N.Y./North Babylon) and Guerra, which gave the Valiants a 5-2 lead after the fourth. Wilkes pulled within two runs in the fifth inning, but would be denied by Palmeri for the remainder of the contest as the Valiants picked up a crucial game two win by a final score of 5-3.
