Valiants Unable to Upset Cougars, Fall 18-4

DALLAS, Pa. – Sophomore Patrick Kellish tallied four goals and three assists while leading the Misericordia University Cougars to an 18-4 victory over the Manhattanville men's lacrosse team. 
 
Sophomore Andrew Murray (Yonkers, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac) scored a goal in his eleventh straight game while fellow sophomores Lucas Carlin (Matamoras, Pa./Delaware Valley), Ed Motherway (Suffield, Conn./Suffield) and Colin Morrissey (Shelton, Conn./St. Joseph) also scored for Manhattanville.
 
The Valiants are now 0-4 in Freedom Conference play, and are now virtually eliminated from the Freedom Conference Tournament.
 
The team has three days off before hosting DeSales University on Tuesday evening.
It will be the final home game for seniors Tony Ramos (Stratford, Conn./Saint Joseph), Tom Tarczali (Stratford, Conn./Saint Joseph), Cory Balog (Hamden, Conn./Hamden), Jack Polak (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow) and Mike Arena (Stratford, Conn./Saint Joseph). Faceoff will be at 4 p.m.
