PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Manhattanville College women's ice hockey team is heading back to the postseason for the fifteenth consecutive season after earning the sixth seed in the New England Hockey Conference, earning 14 points during the regular season.

POSTSEASON HISTORY: The Valiants have made the postseason 14 out of the 15 years since becoming an official NCAA sport in the 1999-2000 school year. Manhattanville has won the postseason tournament eight out of their fourteen appearances and have made eight NCAA tournament appearances.
BEACON RIVALRY: Manhattanville has squared off against the Beacons in the postseason for five consecutive years, with the last two matchups happening in the quarterfinal round. Manhattanville won the first three matchups, with UMass Boston knocking the Valiants out of the tournament the last two seasons.
SEASON SERIES: Manhattanville and UMass Boston split their season series this year, with the home team winning both matchups. The Valiants took the first matchup in November, coming from behind in the third period to defeat the Beacons. Sophomore
Sarah Sinning (Southold, NY/National Sports Academy) recorded three points on the day, scoring two goals, including the game winner, and picking up an assist in the win. Junior
Olivia Drew (York, Maine/Portland Jr. Pirates) stopped 26 shots on the day to pick up the victory. In the second matchup, the Beacons shutout the Valiants, winning 5-0. UMass Boston doubled the Valiant shot total on the day, tallying 48 shots while holding Manhattanville to just 23 attempts on goal. Kristin Embrey and Alexandra Karlis each tallied three points in the win. Freshman
Rose Pijaca (Worcester, Mass./Worcester Academy) recorded 43 saves on the day but was outmatched by Rachel Myette who stopped 23 saves en route to the shutout.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Manhattanville 26-5-1 all-time against UMass Boston, though the Valiants are just 5-4-1 in their last 10 matchups against the Beacons. The Valiants however have never allowed the Beacons to win consecutive games, as they are 4-0 in the following game when losing to the Beacons.
UNDERCLASSMEN CONTRIBUTIONS: Senior
Kyra Herbert (Plainfield, N.H./Lebanon) is the team-leader in goals this season, but the major contribution has come from the team's underclassmen this season. Freshman
Jordan Roetzer (Buffalo, N.Y./Niagara Junior Purple Eagles) leads the team in points with 14, scoring eight goals and tallying six assists. Classmate
Kat Reilly (Holbrook, N.Y./Boston Shamrocks (JWHL)) is third on the team in scoring, netting seven goals and recording six assists on the season. Sophomore
Karly Kapur (Sparta, N.J./Sparta High School) has been an offensive catalyst, leading the team in assists with eleven. Eight of the top ten point totals have come from underclassmen this season and they will be the key to the team's success in the postseason.
BETWEEN THE PIPES: Freshman
Rose Pijaca (Worcester, Mass./Worcester Academy) has been impressive overall in her first collegiate season, compiling a .923 save percentage and allowing 2.66 goals per game on the year. Her counterpart in goal, junior
