On the mound, sophomore

The Valiants opened the scoring in the third inning by plating five runs on six hits in the top half of the frame. Conklin drove in the first two runs of the game on a single to right field. Lynch kept the rally going with an RBI single to left field to score Conklin, and Delahanty capped off the inning with a two run single up the middle to give Manhattanville a 5-0 lead over the Cougars (14-6 overall, 5-2 MAC Freedom).
After Misericordia got a run back in the bottom of the inning, Nunez responded with his first homer of the season, a two run shot to left field to make the score 7-1. The Valiants added a run in the fifth and three runs in the sixth. In the top of the ninth, Conklin put an exclamation point on the win with a solo homer to center field.
