The Valiants (7-7) dropped the first set to the Red Hawks (12-5), but stormed back to win the second and even things up. Manhattanville jumped out to a 14-6 lead and forced a MSU timeout, but the Valiants continued to control the pace of play and took a 19-8 lead. They eventually led by 24-14 before taking the set 25-18.

Junior hitter Austen Brauer (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y./Hastings) had a career night offensively and led all players with a career-best 19 kills on 48 swings to hit .271.
