CENTER VALLEY, PA. -- The Manhattanville College women's volleyball team was on the road Wednesday night, Sept. 26, at DeSales University for another Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom match. DeSales defeated Manhattanville in straight sets, 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-14).
Offensively, the Valiants (7-5, 2-1 MACF) were led by junior hitter
Austen Brauer (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y./Hastings), who finished with nine kills on 22 attempts and hit .364 on the night. Fellow hitter, senior
Laura LiVolsi (Washingtonville, NY/Washingtonville) added eight kills as well. Rookie setter
Sarah Camarena (Los Angeles, Calif./Sacred Heart (H.S.)) dished out 17 assists with just one setting error and added six digs. Sophomore libero
Monica Lopez (Caguas, Puerto Rico/Notre Dame) ended the night with a match-best 18 digs and added two service aces.
Manhattanville looks to bounce back and return to the win column when the Valiants take the court next Tuesday night, Oct. 2, for a home match at Kennedy Gymnasium against another MAC Freedom foe in Misericordia University. First-serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
