BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Manhattanville College men's basketball senior guard
JoJo Cobbs (Elmsford, N.Y./Briarcliff) put the Valiants on his shoulders Saturday afternoon, Dec. 7, and pulled the team back from as many as 15 points down as the Crimson and White came back to defeat Brooklyn College on the road by a score of 62-60. Cobbs' career-best 33 points was a huge part of that victory.

The Valiants (4-2) got off to a slow start in the first half as they fell down 12-2 in the early going to the Bulldogs (1-6). Manhattanville battled back to within four points at 12-8 at 10:18 in the half, however the home squad eventually stretched its lead to 15 points at 35-20 with 1:34 remaining before the break. This set the stage for an outstanding Valiant comeback for the visitors, led primarily by Cobbs.

Trailing by 11 points at 49-38 with 11:00 remaining in regulation – and not having led at any point – Manhattanville proceeded to flip the script and battle back into contention. Junior guard co-captain
Mike Granda (Monroe Township, N.J./St. Joseph) started it off with a three, set up by Cobbs, at 10:45 to trim it to an eight-point game. A minute later, rookie big man
Khari Taylor (Bronx, N.Y./St. Raymond) forced a turnover and found Cobbs on the run for a fastbreak layup to make it 49-43. Down by seven again, Granda and Cobbs combined for three made free throws to make it a four-point game at 51-47 with 8:31 left. Cobbs then hit a jumper a minute later to make it a two-point game, forcing a Bulldog timeout.

Cobbs continued his run and finally tied the game at 51-51 with 6:26 remaining. Brooklyn took back the lead briefly with a pair of free throws, but Cobbs fired back with a monster three to put Manhattanville ahead for the first time all night at 54-53 with 6:00 remaining. Cobbs hit another bucket to stretch it to three before Granda eventual sank a long-range shot of his own at 4:34 to put the Valiants up by five at 59-54. Sophomore guard
Jake Dunn (Staten Island, N.Y./Monsignor Farrell) would later hit a pair of free throws with 00:58 left to extend the Valiants lead to 62-56 – their largest of the night – and the squad eventually hung on for the 62-60 victory.

Highlights:
	- Cobbs finished with a game-high 33 points on 15-of-23 from the field and chipped in with nine rebounds, two blocks, two assists and a steal.

	- Sophomore guard Petey Galgano (New Rochelle, N.Y./Wilbraham & Monson Academy (Mass.)) led all players in rebounds (11) and assists (6). He also chipped in six points and a block.

The Valiants now take a 10-day break before resuming action on the road against another CUNYAC opponent in York College (N.Y.) next Tuesday night, Dec. 17, at 7:00 p.m. Manhattanville has won all seven meetings against the Cardinals, including last season's 92-85 home win last December.
