DANBURY, Conn. – The Manhattanville College women's soccer team dropped a non-conference matchup 7-1 on the road tonight, Monday, Sept. 30, at Western Connecticut State University.
The Valiants (4-5) had been riding a two-game winning streak, but it wasn't enough against the hosting Colonials (6-4-1).
Manhattanville fell behind 3-0 in the first half, and then, trailing 5-0, junior
Ashley Pacheco (Throggs Neck, N.Y./Pelham Prep) got the Valiants on the board in the 57th with her sixth goal of the season. Rookie
Natalie Aracena's (Bronx, N.Y./Riverdale Kingsbride Academy) shot was saved by the WestConn keeper, but Pacheco jumped all over the rebound to put it in the back of the net.
The Crimson and White will return to the pitch when they resume Skyline Conference play this Wednesday, Oct. 2. The Valiants will host The College of Mount Saint Vincent at Govaliants.com Field in Purchase, N.Y., for a 4:30 p.m. kickoff.
