QUEENS, N.Y. – The Manhattanville College men's tennis team fell to Baruch College by a score of 6-3, Sunday, March 8. It was the team's first head-to-head match of the spring season after playing in the Ranger Invitational at Drew University on Feb. 22 and Feb. 23.
The Valiants' three wins came at both doubles and singles. Graduate student
Soya Goto (Rye, N.Y./Rye) and sophomore
Dylan Crowley (Pelham, N.Y./Pelham Memorial) picked up the only doubles victory by a score of 8-0 in the second doubles slot. Goto then picked up one more victory at third singles, winning in two sets 6-0, 6-2. Sophomore
Nick Schlapak (Dover, N.H./Dover) picked up the final victory for Manhattanville (2-2) in the fourth singles slot, winning 6-1, 6-3.
The Crimson and White return to action Friday, March 20, against Bard College in Annandale-On-Hudson, N.Y. The match is scheduled to start at 3:00 P.M.
