PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Manhattanville College field hockey team concluded their season on Sunday afternoon, dropping a 3-0 contest to Thomas College. The Valiants will end the year 1-17 and 0-8 in NECC play.

Prior to the start of the game, the Valiants honored their three senior members, Raquel Brown (Claymont, Del./Brandywine), Brialee Logue (Hampton, N.H./Winnacunnet), and Meghan Gunther (Harrison, N.Y./Harrison) for their contributions to the team during their time at Manhattanville.

The Crimson and White were limited to just one shot in the contest, an attempt by Brown in the second quarter that was stopped by Kayci Faulkingham recording a defensive save behind her goalkeeper Brennan Pinto.

Following a scoreless first quarter, the Terriers got on the board seven minutes into the second as Faulkingham set up Lindsey Gregoire in front of the Manhattanville cage where she was able to fire one home. Gregoire would go on to connect with her sister Britney in the third quarter, giving the Terriers a two goal advantage. Logan Alexander would net one more for Thomas 35 seconds into the fourth quarter off a pass from Grace Slenker to put the game away.

Florence Harrison (Melbourne, Australia/Balwyn High School) made seven saves in net for the Valiants across a full 60 minutes of play. Caitlin Antinozzi (Rye, N.Y./Rye) also picked up a defensive save, making a play on a Thomas shot to keep the ball out of the Manhattanville net.
