Manhattanville Men's Soccer Earns Conference Win at Yeshiva

TEANECK, N.J. – The Manhattanville College men's soccer team remained unbeaten in conference play with Thursday night's 3-1 win at Yeshiva University. The victory improves Manhattanville's overall record to 5-4-2 on the campaign and 4-0-1 against the Skyline Conference.

Manhattanville would use a pair of first half goals to stake claim to the lead they would hold for the rest of the night, outshooting the Maccabees 13-3 over the first 45 minutes. Demba Cham (Bronx, NY/World View High School) found the back of the Yeshiva net in the 36th minute, while Eli Pardo (Norwalk, Conn./Brien McMahon) would tack on another Manhattanville score three minutes later.

The Maccabees would have more offensive success in the second half, matching the Valiants' 12 shots in the period and cutting the lead down to one as Ethan Fettaya collected his second goal of the season in the 63rd minute. That would be all for the Yeshiva attack, however, as the Valiants would keep the Maccabees of the board for the remaining 27 minutes while George Simpson (Norwalk, Conn./Brien McMahon) netted an insurance tally in the 69th minute to take home the win.

Kendall Davis (Atlanta, Georgia/Immaculata), Cody Lacava, and Michael Mezzina (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Morris Catholic) all recorded assists in the contest. Luis Granados (Pasadena, Calif./St. Francis) made four saves en route to his fifth win of the year.
