PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Manhattanville College men's lacrosse team fell to Skyline Conference opponent St. Joseph's College-Long Island, Friday, April 23. The 8-4 loss came in the Valiants (0-3) first match since April 10. Junior attacker
Nick Cornelia (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) led Manhattanville in points, goals and assists with three goals and one assist for four total points.
The first half was all St. Joseph's as they shutout the Valiants by a score of 6-0. The Golden Eagles scored four first quarter goals and two second quarter goals to reach their total of six. They outshot Manhattanville in the first half and put 15 shots on goal to the Valiants seven.
The second half was controlled by the Crimson and White, but it was not enough to overcome the 6-0 deficit. Manhattanville outscored the Golden Eagles, 4-2 in the half and they put 11 shots on goal to St. Joseph's seven. Graduate student goalie
Jason Frezza (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Portledge) made five saves on the seven shots in the half.
