ORLANDO, Fla. – The Manhattanville College women's tennis team concluded their Spring Break trip down in Florida on Friday, falling to Baldwin Wallace by a final of 7-2 at the Star Island Resort. The Valiants fall to 4-8 with the loss.
Both of Manhattanville's points would come in singles play. In No. 3 Singles,
Kelsey Ulzheimer (Franklin Square, N.Y./H. Frank Carey) earned a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Mattie Hicks.
Bea Pretnar (Mohegan Lake, N.Y./Soundview Prep) was also victorious in her singles draw, defeating Emma Trost in the second flight in a 4-3 abbreviated contest.
Ella Brown (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) was edged out by Kami DiRocco 2-6, 6-7 (3-10), in No. 4 Singles, while
Renay Charley (Redondo Beach, Calif./Redondo Union) fell to Kierstyn Yates in a 1-0 shortened affair in the top flight. Lizzy Cole and Hanna LeMaster were awarded the wins in the last two singles positions by default.
In doubles, Charley and Pretnar fell to the duo of Ashtyn Morris and Gabriela Hiedeman 4-0, while Ulzheimer and Brown were defeated by Cole and LeMaster in the second flight. Trost and Hicks were awarded the third doubles point for the Yellow Jackets by default.

The Valiants will be away from the court for the rest of the month before resuming spring action in April. Manhattanville heads to Brooklyn to take on Pratt Institute on Apr. 7.
