GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Manhattanville University men's soccer team had three student-athletes recognized by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on the 2025 Academic All-District
® Team, the organization announced over the Thanksgiving break.
Seniors
Johnny Antolino (Harrison, N.Y./Harrison),
Nico Del Vescovo (Flanders, N.J./Mount Olive) and
AJ Lucas (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon) earned the recognition this year following their combined successes on the pitch and in the classroom. This is each player's second time earning the accolade from the CSC.
Selection to this year's Academic All-District® Team was open to student-athletes with both athletic and academic standing of sophomore or greater. Candidates needed to hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or above while either playing in 90 percent of the team's contests or starting in 66 of the team's matches during the season.
Antolino returns to the Academic All-District® Team after last earning the recognition as a sophomore in 2023. A business management and finance major, the senior midfielder started all 17 games he played in during the 2025 season, earning his first Skyline All-Conference selection with an appointment to the First Team in October. Antolino led all field players on the Manhattanville roster with 1,478 minutes played, staying on the pitch for 90 or more minutes in 15 of his games. Antolino finished his undergraduate career with three points on the campaign, collected an assist in a September triumph over New Jersey City before scoring later in the month in a conference win against Purchase.
Del Vescovo earns Academic All-District® honors for a second year in a row after leading the Valiants in scoring his senior season. The business/sport studies double major played in 19 games and made starts in three, finishing with a team-high seven goals and 15 points, adding an assist against Purchase. Del Vescovo recorded Manhattanville's first hat trick since 2022 with three goals against Saint Joseph's Brooklyn in October as he scored in five total games over the course of the season.
After earning Academic All-District® recognition last year with SUNY Oneonta, Lucas continued his high level of studies and netminding during his debut with the Valiants in 2025. The biology and sport studies major severed as Manhattanville's primary keeper, starting in 19 games. Lucas sported a 1.52 goals against average on the season, making 61 stops as the Valiants' final line of defense. The senior made five shutouts during the year, finishing with a mark of 8-10-1.
