Mahwah, NJ. – Manhattanville women's soccer fell short, 0-1, in a rainy-day matchup at Ramapo on Saturday afternoon.
The Valiants move to 0-3-0 while the Roadrunners (2-0-1) earn its second victory.

Stephanie Sanchez (Rye, N.Y./The Masters School) was able to get a shot off before the game entered a rain delay at 18' of the match, which halted play until 3:18 pm.
Coming out of the locker room, the Valiants recorded an additional two shots from graduate student
Gianna Cuffari (Stony Point, N.Y./North Rockland) and sophomore
Natalia Sanchez (Katonah, N.Y./Somers), respectively.
The Roadrunners tallied eight shots during the first half, with the sole goal of the match coming shortly after the inclement weather at 22' from Alysa Wasicki.

Both teams engaged in a defensive battle during the second half. The Valiants were able to hold the Roadrunners from adding to the scoreboard. Senior keeper,
Macey Girard (Branford, Conn./Branford) , fronted efforts to keep the game within one with her save at 82' on a high-left shot on net.

- The loss today marks the first 0-3 start since the 2022 campaign, where the Valiants went 0-5 to start.
- The all-time series record with Ramapo now sits at 7-7-2, dating back to the first matchup on October 16, 1993.
