PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Manhattanville University basketball programs produced a week of solid outings, giving the Valiant of the Week title to a representative from each team.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL – ESTHER RAMOS
Over the course of the week, Esther Ramos (Queens, N.Y./Forest Hills) led her team to two conference victories with a combined 39 points, 15 rebounds, and six steals. In the early week victory over the University of Mount Saint Vincent, Ramos recorded 21 points for the second-straight, sixth overall, game with 20 or more points. She also tied her season high in steals with four against the Dolphins.
With 280 points sitting for her previous career-high, through 17 games, she continues to reach new heights, currently at 299 points.
Behind Ramos, the women's basketball program sits at a perfect 13 in conference and will face Sarah Lawrence on Wednesday at home at 6 PM.

MEN'S BASKETBALL – JOHN RANAGHAN
In two close games over the week and a victory at home over USMMA, John Ranaghan (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River) continues to be a threat for the Valiants with a combined 25 points, seven steals, and a block. On the road against Maritime, Ranaghan recorded a career-high four steals. Adding three more to his season total against USMMA, he sits at 18.
Through the first 17 games, the junior leads the season charts with 27 threes.
Ranaghan and the rest of his squad head on the road on Thursday to face Old Westbury at 7 PM.
