RYE, N.Y. – Olivia Cimorelli (West Deptford, N.J./The Hill School / Ironbound Elite) was tabbed the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) Women's Goaltender of the Week for the fourth time this season, the conference announced earlier today.
Cimorelli was recognized for her efforts for the week ending Feb. 15, making 62 saves in the final road trip of the regular season in a series at Utica. The sophomore continued to make program history after becoming the quickest goalie in program history to reach 1,000 career saves last month when she set a new single-season saves record on Friday with her 38 stops against the Pioneers bringing her season total to 658. Cimorelli made 24 more stops a day later in the rematch with Utica. Beyond setting the new program record, Cimorelli's effort in Friday's win helped officially secure Manhattanville a postseason berth in next week's UCHC Women's Championship Tournament.
Cimorelli and the Valiants close out the regular season at home this weekend for a two-game series against Elmira, starting on Friday at 7 p.m.
