RYE, N.Y. – The United Collegiate Hockey Conference awarded accolades to senior Catrina Chinetti (Hyde Park, Mass./Boston Latin Academy / East Coast Wizards) and freshman Emilija Tučiūtė (Vilnius, Lithuania, Ontario Hockey Academy) after the Manhattanville University women's ice hockey commanded the ice this past weekend in two shutout conference victories over the Hilbert College Hawks.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Catrina Chinetti (Hyde Park, Mass./Boston Latin Academy / East Coast Wizards) was named Co-Player of the week alongside Anna Lugge of Elmira for the week ending on February 1 ST. The senior began and ended the scoring efforts in the opening game of the series with two short-handed goals, her first two of the year. In her senior day game on Saturday, she found the back of the net once again and sent out one assist. Over the weekend, she had three goals, one assist, 22 shots, and 22 faceoff victories.
In the first 19 games, she leads the team with five goals, including two shorthanded, one on a powerplay and one game-winner, while tallying two assists.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Emilija Tučiūtė (Vilnius, Lithuania, Ontario Hockey Academy) earned the title of Co-Rookie of the week with Keira Reckley of St. John Fisher. The freshman from Lithuania netted her first collegiate goal and sent out two assists in the Saturday game against the Hawks. On defense, she also put herself in front of two shots to keep the away team off the board.
Through the season, she has accumulated six assists, seven points, and 14 blocks.

Up Next – The Valiants will split the weekend with Albertus Magnus College. On the road on Friday at 5 PM and back home for game two of the doubleheader on Saturday at 5:30 PM.
