NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The Manhattanville University softball team opened conference play on Thursday night, sweeping a doubleheader against Yeshiva University. The Valiants improve to 6-4 overall with the victories.
Game One Recap: Manhattanville 11, Yeshiva 0 (5 Inn.)
Jori Wilkendorf (Livermore, Calif./Livermore) and Thalia Smith combined for a no-hitter in the opener as the bats plated 11 runs on nine hits.
Manhattanville drew five walks and had singles off the bats of

Ruby Wilson (Merrimack, N.H./Bishop Guertin) with a
Sydni Brooks (Anaheim, Calif./Cypress) single.
Samantha Reyer (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) and
Cady Sickler (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) drew bases loaded walks for the first two of the frame while
Emma Foster (Santa Barbara, Calif./San Marcos) drove in the 10
th run of the game with an infield single.
Manhattanville's final run came in the third, an RBI triple off the bat of
Bria Hospodar (Old Bethpage, N.Y./Plainview-Old Bethpage John F Kennedy) to score Wilkendorf for the 11-0 lead.
Smith closed out the game with the final two innings in the circle, striking out four while issuing two walks to be part of her first collegiate no-no.
Wilkendorf drew three walks and scored three times to help her own cause, while Ochoa was the lone Valiant with multiple hits in the win. Foster and
Alexa Lazur (Carlsbad, Calif./La Costa Canyon) swiped a pair of bases, while Sickler added one.
