KENILWORTH, N.J. – The Manhattanville University men's golf team was back in action on Friday, competing at the 2026 Kean University Invitational. The Valiants shot 347 (+63) as a team, finishing tied for fifth with Marywood.
A day removed from his third-place finish at the Manhattanville Invitational,
Corey Popowcer (Parkland, Fla./Vermont Lumberjacks (EHL)) once again led the Valiants at the Galloping Hill Country Club. The senior shot a 79 (+8) with four birdies, sinking three in front nine. Popowcer added four more pars to his day, finishing with a matching score with Kean's Jack Heims, Ryan Small and Michael Hayeck, William Paterson's Adam Avery and Marywood's Luke Landis.
William Billequey (Montreal, Quebec/Vermont Lumberjacks (EHL)) tied with Marywood's Baden Hancock for 24
th, both shooting 86 (+15). Billequey shot par on six holes, led by four over the back nine.
Justin Fernet (Sherbrooke, Quebec/Taft School) finished one stroke behind with a round of 87 (+16), good for 26
th. He shot a birdie on the par-four hole 17 while shooting par on three other holes.
Johno Hoins (Telluride, Colo./The Frederick Gunn School / Notre Dame Hounds (SJHL)) wrapped Manhattanville's efforts with a 95 (+24), placing 30
th. Hoins sunk par on the first two holes of the day as part of a six-par round.
Kean's Patrick Murray and Logan Perrone tied for first overall, both shooting an even 71. The Cougars had the top three individual performers and four in the top six, claiming the team title with a score of 289 (+5).
Rutgers-Camden placed second overall with a score of 306 (+22), while Kean's "B" team shot a 319 (+35) to claim third. William Paterson placed fourth with a score of 332 (+48).
