PURCHASE, N.Y. - Hannah Doherty (Clarkstown, N.Y./Clarkstown South) of field hockey and Tyler Rolston (Newport, Pa./P.A.L Jr. Islanders (NCDC)) of men's golf have been named the Valiants of the week of Sept. 28 following standout performances that helped lead their teams to success.

HANNAH DOHERTY - FIELD HOCKEY
Doherty put together a strong week in goal for the Valiants, helping Manhattanville secure a pair of victories over Cedar Crest and Gwynedd Mercy. She played all 120 minutes across two contests allowing just one goal while making 12 saves. Doherty stopped all four shots she faced against Gwynedd Mercy to earn the shutout in the Valiants' 3-0 victory after recording eight saves in the 2-1 win over Cedar Crest.

Doherty and the Valiants travel to face The University of Hartford tomorrow at 4PM.

TYLER ROLSTON - MEN'S GOLF
Rolston led the course in Manhattanville's dual-match victory over Mount Saint Vincent and Pratt, shooting an 83 (+13) to finish on top of the leader board. The senior recorded a match-best two birdies on holes four and 16 while adding six pars. Rolston closed out his strong showing with a 39 on the back nine, helping the Valiants earn wins over both opponents.

Rolston and his team head to Hartford October, 6th to golf in the Battle of Bull's Bridge.
