PURCHASE, N.Y. - Following a strong week on the course, Jack Roberts (Middlefield, CT/Lyman Hall) of men's golf has been selected as Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week.

Roberts put together a pair of strong performances for the Valiants, beginning with a fifth-place finish at the Manhattanville Fall Invitational on Monday. The sophomore shot an 80 (+8) on the par-72 course, recording nine pars and a birdie on the 13th hole while shooting just two-over on the back nine.

Roberts followed that performance on Thursday against Pratt and Mount Saint Vincent, shooting an 85 (+15) to tie for second overall. He carded a birdie on the par-four seventh hole and added seven pars as Manhattanville earned victories over both opponents. 

Roberts and the Valiants get a week's break before heading to The Battle of Bull's Bridge next Tuesday.
