Biography
2011-12: Made four appearances during the indoor season … ran the 3,000 on three occasions, setting a new program record with a 11:28.67 finish to place eighth at the Springfield Invitational (2/4) … also set a new program standard in the 5,000 at the USATFNE Regionals (2/19), crossing the line in 20:49.80 … appeared in eight races during the outdoor season … competed in the 5,000 four times, setting a new program record by crossing the line in 20:27.32 to take second at Ursinus (3/16) … also ran the 10,000 for the first time and set a new school record at the Dick Shea Open (3/31), finishing in 42:18.98 … named to the MAC Winter and Spring Academic Honor Rolls.
2010-11: Took part in five events during the indoor season and made one appearance outdoors before missing the rest of the year due to injury … took first place in the 800 in her first meet as a Valiant, finishing in 2:42.56 at Wesleyan (1/15) … also placed second in the mile with a time of 5:59.13 at Wesleyan … ran the 600 in a program-best 1:52.54 to place 12th at Springfield (2/5) … also set a new program standard in the mile at the BU Valentine Invitational (2/11), finishing with a time of 5:48.35 … placed 10th in the mile (5:50.70) at the MAC Indoor Championships (2/26) … outdoors, took fifth in the 1,500 with a time of 5:32.98 at Queensborough CC (3/12) in her only meet of the year … named to the MAC Winter and Spring Academic Honor Rolls.
Previous School: Attended Santa Barbara City College for two years from 2008-10, running on the cross country and track teams … helped the Vaqueros to a California State Cross Country Championship in 2009 … graduated from the school in 2010 and was a President Honor Roll student in every semester.
High School: Graduated from Hulebacksgymnasiet in 2008 … did not run in high school.
Personal: Daughter of Bengt-Goran and Annelie Gustavsson … has one brother, Tobias … plans to be a finance major with a political science minor at Manhattanville.
