Daniel Owens was appointed as the assistant coach of the Manhattanville College baseball team in August of 2023.
Owens comes to Manhattanville after gaining coaching experience with both the Longwood High School junior varsity team and Team Steel, formerly known as Baseball Heaven. He had also worked with Steel Sports as a Tournament Coordinator ensuring rules, regulations, and procedures were being followed.
Prior to coaching, Owens played for the Southern New Hampshire University baseball team. During the 2021 season, the No. 7 ranked Penmen made it to the Division II College Baseball World Series and lost in the First Round to Seton Hill University, 4-3.
Owens is a 2022 graduate of SNHU, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Justice Studies with a minor in Homeland Security. He is now pursuing his Master of Science in Sports Business and Entertainment Management at Manhattanville College and currently resides in Purchase, N.Y.
