Biography
2015: Appeared in five races during his senior season … took third place at the SJC Friends and Alumni Invitational (9/1) crossing the line at 19:57.50 ... posted the fourth-fastest 8K time in program history at the Bard Invitational (9/19) with a 27:22.00 and placed 10th ... finished fifth out of 121 Division III runners and seventh among 133 overall runners at the Technology Cross Country Invitational (10/3) posting a 26:22.88 which is the third-fastest of his Valiant career and the fourth-fastest time in program history ... placed sixth with a 28:33.20 at the SJC Invitational (10/17).
2014: Named Manhattanville's Male Athlete of the Year after finishing the year with eight program records between the cross country course and the track … the only Valiant to appear in all seven races during his first season with the program … finished the season with three of the top-five 8K times and the top-two 5K times in program history … in five regular-season meets, finished behind only 10 of 632 runners … set a new program 5K record in his Valiant debut, taking second at the Stockton Alumni & Friends Invitational (8/29) in a time of 15:53.98 … took first place out of 44 runners at the Purchase Invitational (9/6) … smashed the program 8K record by finishing the Bard Invitational (9/20) course in 25:27.00 … became the program’s first All-Conference honoree by taking 12th place in a time of 26:19.91 to earn second-team honors at the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships (11/1).
2012-13: Spent two years at Suffolk County Community College, running on the cross country and track teams … on the cross country course, finished second in Region XV in 2012 … was the Region XV champion and earned NJCAA All-America honors in 2013, finishing 14th out of 130 runners at the national meet … also named the team’s Most Valuable Player … helped the Sharks to a third-place finish at the 2014 NJCAA Outdoor Track National Championships by placing fifth in the 5,000 and sixth in the 1,500 while also leading the 4x800 relay to a fifth-place finish.
High School: A 2012 graduate of William Floyd High School … a four-year runner on the Colonials’ cross country and track teams … named the team’s most improved runner as a senior in 2011 … also participated in the Junior Olympics.
Personal: Born April 25, 1994 … son of Tammy and Thomas McGlone … has two sisters, Ashlee and Ameber … plans to be a sport studies major with a psychology minor at Manhattanville.
