Josh Katz was appointed as the assistant men’s and women’s golf coach in January 2022.

Katz comes to Manhattanville with multiple years of sports experience at a professional, collegiate, and minor league level. Most recently, Katz worked for Major League Baseball in the 2021 season as a PitchCast Operator, helping to enhance the broadcasts of baseball games through graphic rendering and data visualization tools.

Prior to joining MLB, Katz served as an intern for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) to promote the conference’s Esports coverage. With the ECAC, Katz wrote press releases and weekly recaps on competitions, tournaments and events while also organizing and producing the Commissioner’s weekly digital show with coaches and athletes.

In the summer of 2019, Katz worked with the Hudson Valley Renegades as an on-field promotions intern, engaging with fans through promotional activities including theme nights, jumbotron content and supervising baseball camps and tournaments. With the Tampa Bay Rays’ minor league affiliate, Katz was involved with production meetings to promote diversity and inclusion in Minor League Baseball.

In 2018, Katz worked with Maccabi USA in Philadelphia and Israel, starting as a communications intern before jumping up to assistant and first base coach for Team USA. Katz helped coach the team to a gold medal in the 2018 International Maccabi Youth Games and was involved in recruitment and player development.

Alongside his position with Manhattanville, Katz has worked as a sponsorship sales intern with the Collegiate Sports Management Group out of Stamford, Conn. In this role, Katz has helped build brand partnerships with collegiate student-athletes across all college athletics.

Katz graduated from Marist College in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in communication with a concentration in sports communication. He is currently pursuing his Masters at Manhattanville in sport business and entertainment management.
