Juniors: Played the 2010-11 season with the Thorold Blackhawks of the OJHL alongside Valiant classmates Eric McClure and Paul Sirignano … named the OJHL Goaltender of the Year and earned the Tony Bloomfield Award for his league-low 2.50 goals against average … named an OJHL All-Star and was MVP of the All-Star Game … posted a 21-6 record and .911 save percentage in 29 games.
Personal: Born July 19, 1990 … son of Rob Trowell and Marianna Malandruccolo … his father Rob was a four-year letterwinner for the RIT men’s hockey team from 1981-85 and was a part of the school’s 1983 Division II National Championship team and 1984 Division III National Championship squad … has three siblings, Jackie, Mackenzie and John … is majoring in marketing at Manhattanville.
