Eric Nordenson will begin his first season as an assistant coach with the Manhattanville men's soccer team in 2016, working with the Valiant goalkeepers.

Nordenson comes to Purchase after spending the last 10 seasons as an assistant under current Valiant head coach Kyle Dezotell at Norwich University. Together, the pair led the Cadets to a 130-63-18 (.659) record, the 2008 GNAC Tournament title and the 2007 ECAC New England Championship. Under their watch, Norwich reached the semifinals of the GNAC Tournament in all 10 seasons and also recorded nine ECAC New England Tournament appearances over that span.

He played college soccer at Castleton State College from 1991-94 while earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice.

Nordenson began his coaching career in 1995 as an assistant coach at his alma mater, where the Spartans compiled a record of 14-3-1 and were the Mayflower Conference champions. In 1996, Nordenson moved to Northeastern University as the first assistant coach for one of the finest Huskies teams in school history. He also coached high school and lastly spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Division II Saint Michael's College before moving on to Norwich in 2006.
