Biography
2011-12: Took to the track in five meets during the indoor season … was the team’s top sprinter, posting the top-three times in the 60 and the 200 as well as the top-two in the 400 … started the year by taking second and setting a new program record in the 200 at the MIT Invitational (1/28), crossing the line in 23.77 … earned his fifth All-Conference honor by being a part of the Distance Medley Relay team that placed sixth at the MAC Indoor Championships (2/24) to earn second-team laurels … also ran a season-best 60 at the MACs, finishing in 7.32 … took to the track for eight events during the outdoor season, running primarily in the 400 … posted his best 400 time of the year at the year-end MAC Outdoor Championships (5/4), taking 12th place with a time of 51.86 … took fourth place in the 200 at Eastern Connecticut (4/13) with a time of 23.70 … had the team's best time in the 100, 200 and 400 during the outdoor season.
2010-11: Named Manhattanville’s Male Athlete of the Year … ran primarily the 55 and 400 dashes during the indoor season … finished the year with new school records in the 55, 60 and 400 … took first place in the 55 at the Wesleyan Invitational (1/15), taking second in the preliminaries and then crossing the line in 6.77 in the final … set a new career best in the 400 four different times, the last one coming with a time of 50.70 at the BU Valentine Invitational (2/11) … took eighth in the 400 and sixth in the 55 at the MAC Indoor Championships (2/26), earning All-Conference second-team recognition in the 55 … outdoors, set career-best times in the 100, 200, 400 and 800 as well as program-best marks in the latter two … started the year with a first-place finish in the 400 at the Queensborough CC Relays (3/12), finishing in 51.67 … took third in the 200 and second in the 100 at Richard Stockton (3/19), including a career best 23.18 in the 200 … his career-best 400 time of 50.43 was good for third place overall at the Elmer Swanson Invitational (4/9) … earned a point at the MAC Outdoor Championships (5/6-7) with an eighth-place finish in the 400 (51.80), and also set a new career-best in the 100 by crossing the line in 11.32 to place 12th.
2009-10: Ran in all seven meets during the indoor season … took first place in the 400 in his second indoor meet of the year, finishing in 54.08 at the Wesleyan Invitational (1/16) … placed ninth and set a new career-best in the 400 with a time of 52.45 at the USATF New England Regionals (2/21) … earned Manhattanville’s only point at the MAC Indoor Championships (2/27), taking sixth in the 200 with a time of 53.43 to earn All-MAC second-team honors … also appeared in all seven events during the outdoor campaign … posted his best 200 time and his top-two 400 times at the year-end MAC Outdoor Championships (5/6) … in the 400, ran a career-best 51.34 in the prelims and 51.60 in the finals to earn All-Conference second-team honors with a sixth-place finish and earn the team’s only three points of the event … his time of 23.27 in the 200 also was a career-best time … named to the MAC Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2008-09: Primarily ran the 200 and 400 dashes in the indoor season … posted the team’s five-best 200 times and the top-seven 400 times … qualified for the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships in both events at the BU Valentine Invitational (2/14), recording season-best times in the 200 (24.26) and the 400 (53.63) … placed 12th in both events at the MAC Championships (2/28) … earned his first All-Conference honor as a part of the 4x200 relay team … ran the 200 and 400 primarily again during the outdoor season … improved his 200 time in every outdoor meet, culminating in a season-best 200 time (23.68) at the MAC Championships (4/30) … also placed 12th in the 400 at the conference meet with a time of 52.93, slightly off his season-best time of 52.52 set at the Yale Springtime Invitational (4/25).
High School: A 2008 graduate of the Urban Assembly Academy of History and Citizenship for Young Men (UAAHC) … played soccer for two years for UAAHC, helping the team to an 11-0-1 record in his final season … earned honor roll honors and the school's Principal's Award.
Personal: Born November 17, 1989 … son of Elizabeth Adwubi … has two brothers, George and Julius … a chemistry major at Manhattanville.
