Manhattanville University Athletics

Sky Ellazar was appointed the softball assistant coach at Manhattanville College in August 2019. 

Prior to Manhattanville, Ellazar graduated in 2018 from the University of Maryland. She was a four-year starter for the Terps, earning 2018 Second Team All-Big Ten. Ellazar graduated second-all time in career batting average (.333) and tied for seventh in triples (5). As a senior season she lead nearly every single offensive statistical category. During her junior season, she was named one of “10 NCAA Softball Juniors to Watch in 2017” and was appointed captain by her teammates. 

She is currently playing on the Philippine National Softball Team and was a part of the 2017 silver medalist team at the Asian Championships. Ellazar and the team are currently trying to qualify for the 2020 Olympics. 

A native of Kahului, Hawaii, she currently resides in Purchase, N.Y., and is pursuing her master’s in sports business.
