Reed McLean

Reed McLean was named Assistant Coach of the men's basketball program in August 2022. 

McLean comes to Manhattanville after gaining coaching experience since beginning his undergraduate studies at Springfield College in 2012. He worked with the Pride in a basketball operations capacity during his time in Springfield, assisting with player development, travel operations, scouting, and video editing for a team that would make the NCAA Tournament three times during his time on campus.

McLean added experience as a sports communication intern in 2015, working with the Springfield Athletic communications staff on game day operations and website management.

Following the completion of his undergraduate studies in 2016, McLean began work at Harborfields High School in Greenlawn, N.Y., where he served as both a teacher's assistant as well as the assistant coach of the boy's varsity basketball team while handling head coaching duties of the junior varsity team. In 2020, McLean was named Junior Varsity League 5 Coach of the Year. He would also work with the boy's soccer team at Harborfields as the assistant coach for the varsity team, helping coach the team to their first county title in school history.

Prior to the start of his collegiate pursuits, McLean was a member of the 2012 New York State boy's basketball champion Harborfield High School, helping bring home the first-ever state title in school history. 

McLean graduated from Springfield College in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management. He currently resides in Purchase, New York pursuing his Master's in Sports Business.
