Biography
2009-10: Appeared in nine of the team’s 10 dual matches during the season … went 0-2 in singles play and 5-6 on the doubles court, including a 4-3 mark at third doubles … posted back-to-back third doubles wins against FDU-Florham (9/24) and DeSales (9/29), winning by respective scores of 8-2 and 9-8 (7-3) … won three straight doubles matches toward the end of the year, including consecutive wins over Eastern (10/12) and Misericordia (10/20) to end the regular season … teamed with Boramy Siek to earn an 8-3 win in the first round of the MAC Individual Championships (10/24) … named to the MAC Spring Academic Honor Roll.
2008-09: Served as a team co-captain as a junior … took the court in 11 dual matches in her junior season … went 0-12 overall in singles action, coming mostly at fourth singles, while also recording a 1-11 mark in doubles play … picked up her first win of the season against Western Connecticut (10/2), teaming with Mariko Morimoto for an 8-2 third-doubles victory.
2007-08: Appeared in 12 matches as a sophomore, going 2-9 in singles play and 1-9 in doubles action … was a double winner versus FDU-Florham (9/18), earning a 6-2, 4-6, 12-10 win at sixth singles and partnering with Shadae Hicks for an 8-2 third-doubles victory … also picked up an easy 6-1, 6-1 win at fifth singles versus John Jay (9/29).
2006-07: Did not compete for Valiants as a freshman.
High School: A 2007 graduate of the Churchill School … did not compete in tennis for the Hawks … won the basketball team’s Defensive Award in 2002 and Most Improved Player award in 2004 … given volleyball team’s Outstanding Leadership Award in 2003, 2004 and 2005 … also a member of soccer and softball teams … won school’s Student-Athlete award as a senior.
