Biography

2015-16: Appeared in seven of the team’s eight meets during the indoor season … took part in the 4x200 relay that placed fourth to earn All-MAC second team honors and qualify for ECACs at the MAC Indoor Championships (4/26) … also participated in the distance medley relay that set a program record in 14:31.33 and set a new career-best in the 200 with a  time of 28.28 seconds at MACs as well … part of the 4x400 relay that set a program record in 4:27.81 at the Ramapo Indoor Select Meet (1/30) ... ran in seven meets for the Valiants in her final outdoor season ... competed in the 200 and 400 ... recorded a personal best in the 200 at the Coach Omeltchenko Invitational (4/17) with a time of 27.50 ... ran a career-best 400 time of 1:03.75 at the Lions Invitational (4/29) to qualify for the MAC Championships ... placed ninth in the 400 at MACs (5/6), crossing the line at 1:04.26 and also ran in the 200, finishing with a time of 27.86 (5/6) ... named to the MAC Winter and Spring Academic Honor Rolls.

2014-15: Appeared in all eight meets during the indoor season … ran the 60-meter dash on three occasions, starting with a career-best time of 8.82 seconds at the season-opening Crowell Open (12/6) … part of the 4x200 relay that earned an All-MAC second-team time of 1:49.70 at the MAC Indoor Championships (2/28) and set the school record for the third time this year with a 1:47.14 result at the ECAC Indoor Championships (3/6) … improved on her 200-meter time in all five attempts this season, finishing with a time of 29.08 seconds at the MAC Indoor Championships … appeared in six of the team’s seven meets during the outdoor season … earned All-MAC first-team honors at the MAC Outdoor Championships (5/2) as part of the 4x100 relay team that finished third in a program-record 50.18 seconds and qualified for ECACs … also earned All-MAC second-team honors with the 4x400 relay team, taking fifth in a program-record 4:15.05 … ran the 100 on four occasions, with a top time of 13.81 seconds at the Lions Invitational (4/25) … improved her 200 time in all three races, ending with a season-best 28.56 seconds at the MAC Outdoor Championships.

2013-14: Took to the track at 11 meets during her sophomore season … ran the 60 three times indoors, setting a new career mark with a time of 9.07 seconds at Wesleyan (1/18) … her best 200 time of the season came outdoors at Wesleyan (4/12), crossing the line in a career-best 28.49 seconds … earned All-MAC first-team honors as part of the 4x100 relay by placing second in a school-record 50.54 seconds at the MAC Outdoor Championships (5/3).

2012-13: Made three appearances on the track during the indoor campaign, running the 200 three times and the 60 twice … her best 200 time of the season was a 30.99-second result at MIT (1/26) … finished the 60 in 9.44 seconds for a season-best time in her Valiant debut at Wesleyan (12/1) … appeared at all eight events during the outdoor season … ran the 200 a season-high five times, posting her best time of the year with a time of 29.93 seconds at Army’s Dick Shea Open (3/30).

High School: A 2012 graduate of St. Jean Baptiste High School …was a four-year letterwinner in track and also earned two letters on the softball field for the Jewels in addition to captaining both squads.
 
Personal: Daughter of Janeth and John Canavan … has one brother, Matthew … majoring in communications and media studies at Manhattanville, in the hopes of working in the sports or entertainment industry.
