Cassie Petretti

Cassie Petretti was appointed Assistant Athletic Trainer at Manhattanville University in June of 2025.

Petretti comes to Manhattanville by way of Ohio University, where she earned three degrees in Athletic Training. After earning her Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Athents, she earned her Doctorate of Athletic Training from Ohio University in May 2025.

While pursuing her degrees, Petretti gained extensive hands-on experience at Marietta College and Ohio University. Working as a graduate assistant at Marietta from 2021 to 2023, Petretti worked with eight different Pioneer teams to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the student-athletes. In addition to working with Mareitta cross country, track and eifeld, rowing, women's basketball and football, Petretti also mentored MAT students as a clinical preceptor to provide hands-on instruction and guidance for athletic training practices.

In 2023, Petretti began working as Staff Athletic Trainer with Ohio University Athletics, serving as the head athletic trainer for the university's club hockey team whilst overseeing medical care and injury prevention for all 33 other club teams that called campus home. She also provided AT services for the Ohio University football team and marching band while continuing to serve as a mentor for MAT students. In 2024, Petretti took on the role of Assistant Master of Athletic Training Program Director at Ohio University, elevating her role with the MAT program as she began to teach practicum courses, mentor undergrad pre-athletic training students, aiding in the recruitment efforts of the program and serving as club advisor for the Athletic Training Club.

Petretti has been a member of the National Athletic Training Association since 2021, and holds certifications in CPR & first aid, mental health first aid, and ACE cupping.
