Following the conclusion of his collegiate playing career in 2025, Darus Bacote, Jr. has been a member of the Manhattanville University men's basketball coaching staff since the 2025-2026 season.
Bacote, Jr. joined the Valiants men's basketball team in the 2024-2025 campaign after playing a pair of seasons at Wells College prior to the school's closure. He played 24 games during his collegiate career.
On the Valiant sideline, Bacote, Jr. has been involved in the preparation and implementation of game and practice plans. He has also assisted in monitoring academic performance with the student-athletes on the roster.
Away from Manhattanville, Bacote, Jr. has worked with the North Hartford Bible Mission as a basketball coach and mentor since 2018. He has also served as a financial planning assistant with Akers Financial Group since 2022, handling the day-to-day marketing and data analytics for the company.
Bacote, Jr. earned his bachelor's of science in business from Manhattanville in 2025 and is currently pursuing his master's of business administration.
