Erin Murray joined the coaching staff as the assistant coach of the women's hockey team at Manhattanville College in August 2025.
Before Manhattanville, Murray spent four years playing hockey at fellow Division III opponent Hobart and William Smith Colleges. During her career, Murray stacked up a multitude of awards, receiving NEHC Goaltender of the Year, All-NEHC first team, NSCA College All-American S&C Athlete of the year, and AHCA All-America East third team, all in her final season with HWS. In addition, she was named NEHC Goaltender of the Week four times, finishing 9-12-3 overall with a .948 save percentage, a 1.37 GAA, and a career-high 62 saves in her final game with the Herons.Â
Murray comes to Manhattanville with multiple years of coaching experience. In the summer of 2023, she worked as a goalie coach at Rob Barletta hockey camps and Pro Ambition Hockey Camp. In 2024, she served as a coach for USA Hockey, working with young female hockey players at the USA Hockey New England District Development Camp and the Eastern Selects Camp.Â
Off the ice, Murray is an active member of the community, spending the last three summers with Hanover Public Schools' FACE (Family and Community Engagement) program. With FACE, she was able to lead programs that supported the social-emotional and physical development of youth of all ages. Murray was able to share her philanthropic passion with peers through junior staff and mentoring high school students. She collaborated with program coordinators and families to support individual student needs and maintain open communication, fostering leadership and professional development for all parties.
A native of Hanover, MA, Murray earned her Bachelor's of Psychology with dual minors in Education and Child Advocacy from HWS. She will be working towards her Master's of Sports Business Management while at Manhattanville.Â
