Joseph Mandile was appointed as the Assistant Athletic Director in September 2021 and was promoted to Associate Director of Athletics in May of 2023.
A Yonkers native, Mandile graduated from Sacred Heart University in 2006 with a political science major and minor in business and received a Masters of Science in sports business management from Manhattanville College in 2009.
From 2014 until his arrival to Manhattanville, Mandile served as the assistant athletic director for John Jay College in New York City. During his tenure, Mandile was responsible for the day-to-day operations of 15 NCAA teams including but not limited to scheduling all practices, games, venues, officials and transportation, procurement of off-site facilities, maintaining facilities on and off-site, business development and executing all game contracts. By creating, monitoring and maintaining a master facilities schedule for athletics, classes and rentals, Mandile was able to serve as an on-site administrator for all home contests by planning and supervising the program’s major events such as the college’s homecoming, Hall of Fame, end of year banquets, and golf outings. Mandile was also in charge of supervising all conference championship events hosted by John Jay as well as developing pregame protocols and emergency action plans for athletics.
Mandile has baseball coaching experience in his arsenal, assisting Fordham University in the Atlantic 10 conference from 2010 to 2013 where he was in charge of hosting the A-10 Championship in 2012. Mandile was also an assistant on the Manhattanville College baseball team from 2006 to 2008, winning honors in 2007 as part of Skyline Coaching Staff of the Year, winning the conference championship and making an appearance in NCAA Regionals the same year.
Mandile is multifaceted in career profession as well as professional associations, being recognized in the Association of Professional Baseball Players for his playing with the Bay Area Toros Professional Baseball Organization in Houston, Texas, and American Baseball Coaches Association for his extensive work with Fordham and Manhattanville. Mandile also won the 2018 CUNYAC Coach of the Year.
Mandile currently resides in Purchase, New York.
