his second season on the sidelines of GoValiants.com Field in 2024.
In his first two years leading the Valiants, Reilly captured back-to-back Skyline Conference Championships in 2023 and 2024, the program's first conference titles since 1999. The conference titles also sent Manhattanville to the NCAA Tournament for the third and fourth times in program history, the firsts since 2011.
Making his Valiant coaching debut in 2023, Reilly led Manhattanville to the top seed in the regular-season Skyline standings as the team went 7-0-4 in conference play. Riding the undefeated Skyline regular season into the playoffs, the Valiants pulled off a pair of second half comebacks over fifth-seeded Mount Saint Vincent and second-seeded Farmingdale to hoist the conference title. The Valiants would draw Christopher Newport in the opening round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament, where Michael Mezzina recorded the team's first-ever NCAA Tournament goal despite the loss. Manhattanville had four All-Conference selections in 2023, led by Trevor Henderson making the Skyline First Team while Mezzina, Joseph Kresse and Luis Granados were Second Team selections.
The Valiants were once again amongst the top of the Skyline a year later as Reilly's squad went 9-2-0 in conference action to finish as the No. 2 seed. Despite not having home field advantage for the duration of the postseason run, Manhattanville's flair for the dramatics in the playoffs were on full display, defeating No. 6 Farmingdale 2-1 in overtime in the semifinals before outlasting top-seeded Saint Joseph's Long Island 4-3 in the finals to win a second-straight title. Manhattanville took on No. 20 Williams in the NCAA Tournament as Alec Pineda found the back of the netting for the Valiants' goal in the loss. The program had six players earn All-Conference nods, as Mason Chetti, Anthony Mendez and Granados were First Team honorees and the trio of Jackson Ayres, Pineda and Kresse made the Second Team.
Reilly became the 16
th head coach in program history, bringing a wealth of coaching experience at the collegiate and playing levels to Manhattanville. Most recently, Reilly served as the assistant coach in Division I at Manhattan College.
In his five seasons on the Jaspers' sideline, Reilly was involved in all aspects of the program. During his time at Manhattan, the program qualified for the playoffs four out of the five years he was with the team, including earning their highest-ever seeding this past year. His sport performance and training program help develop 10 All-MAAC selections and the 2022 Defensive Player of the Year, Nassim Akki.
Reilly began his collegiate soccer career at Bryant University before transferring to St. Thomas Aquinas College. He graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas with a Bachelor's degree in sports management. After his time in college, Reilly pursued professional soccer in Ireland, suiting up for Finn Harps and Institute FC. Following his stint in Ireland, he played for the Rochester Rhinos in the USL Championship. He still currently plays at the highest levels of US Amateur Soccer, most recently winning a National Championship with Lansdowne Bhoys in 2021.
Reilly has been heavily involved in soccer in the high school, club, collegiate and professional ranks. He currently is the Technical Director at Morris Elite located in Madison, New Jersey and involved with recruitment and coaching for their USL 2 side. Coach Reilly lives in Mahwah, New Jersey with his wife Kathleen and son Ciarán.
