POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Vassar College received goals from six different players and held a decisive advantage in shots as the Brewers dealt Manhattanville College a 6-0 defeat in non-conference women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon at Gordon Field.
It was all Vassar on the field this day, as the Brewers outshot the Valiants by a 31-1 margin and scored three times in each half to come away with the victory. Kelsey Hamm and Dahlia Chroscinski led the way with a goal and an assist each for the home team, while seven other players had one point each.
Lucy Brainerd started the scoring just 4:05 into the contest and Vassar added two more in the opening half, with Hamm and Chroscinski both finding the net in the 13th and 35th minute, respectively. That was more than enough for the Vassar defense, who allowed only one shot on the net of Cayla Neipris and Emma Nichols, who split time in goal.
